介绍（英）	This pendant evokes Renaissance jewelry more overtly than other Giuliano pieces in the Museum's collection, and its decorative effect derives largely from a semi-precious stone, in this case amethyst, which is not the case with the other works. The use of openwork and enameling in combination with pearls and semi-precious stones is typical of Giuliano’s work in the Renaissance style; the pendant retains its original chain. While Carlo Giuliano made other Renaissance-revival pendants that prominently employed amethysts, the workmanship on this example is unusually fine.
