介绍（英）	This roemer is a very appealing piece complements two outstanding examples of Dutch seventeenth-century roemers (04.24 and 27.185.236) of massive scale and top level craftsmanship. It is a comparative piece of more pedestrian manufacture and size more appropriate to daily use. Seen alongside a related goblet in the Museum's collection (27.185.213), this provides a complete gamut of scale graduations typical for this type of drinking vessel. From design and technique, this roemer is typical of Dutch, late seventeenth-, early eighteenth-century production, however a revival of taste for this type of object in the late nineteenth century heralded production of pastiche pieces, including catalogued works of this scale.
