介绍（中）	早在马可波罗（Marco Polo）时期，外国游客就知道印度西北海岸古吉拉特邦生产的刺绣质量，1600年代初欧洲与印度的贸易迅速回升，刺绣古吉拉特语纺织品就被确定为最有利可图的出口商品之一。这件悬挂的碎片是这种海外商业的最早例子之一，来自英国苏塞克斯郡的阿什伯纳姆之家。像这样的刺绣可能是在古吉拉特邦的不同中心制作的，但通常与出口港口坎贝有关。
介绍（英）	Foreign travelers from as early as Marco Polo knew of the quality of the embroidery produced in Gujarat, a state on India’s northwestern coast, and as soon as European trade with India picked up in the early 1600s, embroidered Gujarati textiles were identified as among the most lucrative goods for export. This fragment from a hanging is one of the earliest examples of this overseas commerce, and comes from the Ashburnham House in Sussex, England. Embroideries like this were probably made at different centers throughout Gujarat, but are usually associated with Cambay, the port from which they were exported.
