介绍（英）	An archer wears a bracer to protect the inner forearm against whiplash from the bowstring. Most bracers were made of bone, horn, or leather with little or no ornament. This example, made of polished copper, is very unusual for its elaborate and finely engraved decoration, which features the martyrdom of Saint Sebastian, patron saint of archers. The inscription around its border mentions the town of Ath in Belgium, the name Joseph de Somme (probably the owner or maker of the bracer), and the date.
